He has over 25 years of experience correcting major change programmes and writing software. Most of his career was spent in the London and Bermuda reinsurance markets, helping executives run more efficiently in a heavily regulated, fast-moving and competitive industry.

A note from Ollie

Why not use a Big Four firm?

I am often asked what is different about us. My answer starts with what we have in common. As a PwC Director I was the national lead for independent quality assurance, and I am still brought in for complex reviews. You get Big Four experience without the badge, or the price tag.

What is different is how we work. I have delivered and recovered complex IT projects in the UK, the US and Europe, not only reviewed them, so our recommendations come with the practical detail to carry them out. Large-firm reviews tend to be punitive and to play down what went well. A payroll team that has just found an underpayment is under enough strain, and it is entirely possible to find what went wrong without blame.

Geoff and I are independent, with no ties to any payroll software vendor.

How we work

From the outside, and accountable for every line

  • From the outside

We are not your payroll provider, your IT provider or your AI vendor. We have no system of our own to defend, so we can tell you what we find.

  • Independent

We report what the evidence shows, with the working, even when the answer is awkward. Fixes are optional and quoted separately, so the audit never depends on selling them.

  • Every finding read by a person

The engine reads everything. One of us reads every finding it raises before it reaches you, and both of us stand behind the report.

  • Plain English

Short reports a busy owner or finance lead can read in one pass, with the detail behind every line for whoever needs it.

Openly AI-powered

How the AI is used

Two senior people run every engagement. The checking is done by software that AI helped us build and that we test against known answers, so it is fast, repeatable and cheap to run. Our hours go on judgement, not data entry.

  • AI does the reading and the arithmetic

We use AI to build and run a rule engine that reads 100% of the records in scope, not a sample, and works through every calculation. The same data gives the same answer every time.

  • People set the rules

We decide what the engine checks, from the legislation and the published guidance, and we test it against files with planted errors before it runs on yours.

  • People read every finding

Nothing reaches you that one of us has not read and checked against the working. Where a finding needs judgement, it gets ours, not the machine’s.

  • People write the words

The report text is assembled by our rule engine from sentences the two of us wrote. No generative model writes a finding, and we sign the report.

Claims we can back

Every speed, cost and accuracy claim on this site links to a public source, caveats included, and we publish our own test results. Where the evidence is thin, we say so.
